Frank Scialabbo Sr. (July 7, 1934 - October 14, 2025)

Frank Scialabbo Sr. was born on July 7, 1934, in Garfield, New Jersey, to Joseph and Mary (Grecco) Scialabbo. His family's roots trace back to Marineo, Sicily, a small town near Palermo known for its strong sense of community, family pride, and hard-working spirit - qualities that Frank embodied throughout his life.

He attended Our Lady of Mount Virgin School and Garfield High School, where his love of sports and natural leadership shone. It was during a Garfield-Lodi varsity baseball rivalry game that Frank met the love of his life, Christine (Gaciofano) - a fateful moment that began a partnership lasting 69 wonderful years.

Frank dedicated his career to the electrical trade as a journeyman electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #164. He took great pride in his craft, and in recent years, he was honored with a 50-year membership recognition from the IBEW - a testament to his lifelong commitment, skill, and integrity.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Frank was a retired volunteer fireman with Garfield Fire Company #3, always ready to serve his neighbors and friends. He also gave countless hours to community programs such as Garfield Babe Ruth and the Garfield Junior Boilermakers, inspiring young athletes and supporting the next generation.

After many fulfilling years in Garfield, Frank and Christine later made their homes in Marlton and Lakewood, New Jersey, where they continued to enjoy family gatherings, lifelong friendships, and quiet moments together.

Frank's family was his greatest joy. He is survived by his devoted wife Christine, his son Joseph and wife Debbie, and his grandsons Joe Jr. (Larissa) and Kristopher (Briana). He was also blessed with four beautiful great-grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into his later years.

Frank is also survived by his estranged son, Frank.

He passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.

Frank Scialabbo Sr. will be remembered as a man of faith, loyalty, and heart - a proud Sicilian-American who devoted his life to family, community, and hard work. His legacy lives on in the people he loved, the lives he touched, and the hometown that shaped him.
