Ronald R. Lewis, Sr., age 78, passed away on December 6, 2025, at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Alexander and Anne Lewis. Ronnie was a resident of Springfield, New Jersey, since 1984.
Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he was employed by the United States Postal Service out of Trenton, New Jersey, where he dedicated over 30 years of service before retiring.
Ron was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Phillies. He also enjoyed trips to the racetrack, camping, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved children: Ronald R. Lewis, Jr. of Winter Park, Florida; Judith (Lloyd) Matthews of Delanco, New Jersey; and Desiree Lewis of Winter Springs, Florida. He was a loving grandfather to Cody (Lorraine) Matthews, Kaili (Devon) Matthews, Joshua Matthews, and Dakota Lewis, and a cherished great-grandfather to Chase Matthews, Leah Matthews, and Lainey Matthews.
Ronald is also survived by his siblings: Maryann (Don) McNelis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Patricia Lewis of Hamilton, New Jersey; and Alexander (Patricia) Lewis of Yardville, New Jersey.
Inurnment with Military Honors will take place at 3:00 p.m. on January 30, 2026, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, New Jersey.
